Tested to High Standards

Amerimax window and doors undergo rigorous testing to meet or exceed the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) and the Canadian Standards Association (CSA) structural, air and water standards. By manufacturing windows designed by REHAU, Amerimax tilt-turn windows and doors offer unmatched performance.

Rated for Hurricane Impact

Recent hurricanes have caused loss of lives, extensive property damage and ultimately higher insurance costs for residential and commercial building owners. As a result, building codes in coastal regions now require window and door designs to be rated for hurricane impact resistance and high wind pressures. Amerimax commercial window and door designs have been engineered and tested to meet or exceed coastal building codes. These robust designs have the added benefits of increased security, energy efficiency and sound abatement.

Structural Performance

Structural Performance

AAMA has established a set of guidelines to determine the overall performance class of a window or door. Structural performance testing encompasses air leakage, water resistance, design pressure and uniform load. The uniform load structural tests are 1.5 times the design pressure. The above chart is not indicative of every window/door configuration. Request copies of certified test reports prior to start of any project.
